Intro
I’m in my “Embrace the #1000mphClub life” phase these days. Focusing on my work and the things I want to create is the most reasonable option these days. I was already cutting down my social media time and now that NBA season is starting this week, I can replace the most of the time wasted on those platforms with some quality basketball.
In other news, someone gave Deepseek 4.1 a Bluesky account and it decided to immediately delete it. Looks like AGI is really here.
Greetings from Sangarius. Hope you’re all doing well.

- Project Kabr’s Glass Aegis is starting this week and it requires some reading and research before writing it.
- We’re planning to start Project Constellation Tracer early November and it needs some templating and drafting.
- Project Foremost Vimana now has a set date. Which means I can properly start working on it.
- I’ll give an online workshop for Project Golden Age Booster on Claude for journalists, plus another mentorship session on Thursday for a partner organization.
- Couple of other meetings and calls on the admin side to make sure everything runs smoothly.
- Friday (and possibly early next week) is blocked because I have to make sure that I’m not losing a month of my life to military service. (Backstory for new readers.)

Touch Some Forest Please
Recent weeks in here was pure chaos —because of the natural and political disasters— and that led me spending more time on microblogging platforms than I would like to. Which resulted with a realization about how tense, angry and unreasonable most people are. Even thinking about it makes me tense. And when I look at the reasons behind that anger or what the discourse is, it makes me even angrier because it doesn’t make any sense at all. Pure denial of reality, groupthink at its finest, bunch of made up stuff, people looking for the target of the day and they all think this madness will serve some greater good or save the world.
Part of me understands why they’re like that. The world is getting more complex and weird each day. All that uncertainty and change threatens their comfort zones. Denial and conservative reflexes are inevitable for most people in times like these. They’re confused and angry, looking for a target to aim their wrath. The world is evolving —for better and worse— and they need to find someone to blame. They need to feel like they’re doing something to defend their fortress.
But understanding something doesn’t mean that I agree with it or find it reasonable. It doesn’t make any sense to me, my brain doesn’t work like that. If something is weird and complex, that makes my eyes open like whenever our cats see a bird fly near our windows. Why waste your energy with anger and useless fights when you can learn new things, figure out what lies behind that weirdness and find new uses for it? Why would I deny an opportunity to evolve?
One common theme about the group of people I’ve described is that they were completely comfortable and safe until recently, that’s why they’re overreacting to everything like that. Unlike most of the world, they never really experienced uncertainty and complexity — maybe they were just watching it from afar. They expected it to stay that way, rest of the world deals with the constant uncertainty while they keep their comfortable status quo. That’s why most of the things driving them to temper tantrums online are met with much more reasonable reactions elsewhere.
My advice? Distance yourself from this madness for a while. Touch some forest, because you’re way above the levels grass can help.
Song of the Week
Reading Log
“This idea has been used to explain everything from resilient consumer spending to corporate earnings surprises (good and bad), to our vexed political life. But there is not much timely data on the distribution of income and wealth, so K-explanations (or the rejection of them) have been more a reflection of the preconceptions of the explainer than a meaningful contribution to our understanding.”
Is the K-shaped economy really more of an E?
“El Niño should be understood as part of a process where both climate change and the costs of building an electrified, ‘low carbon’ economy are driving a long-term increase in the cost of fundamental commodities – a climate supercycle. Which means that after years of climate denial, false solutions and tepid climate policies, we are now strapped in for a hard transition.”
Godzilla El Niño is coming
“What we underestimate is that we may not be in a re-run. This may not be the latest installment of a familiar franchise. We may be in a radically new script or, at the very least, in a new mash-up the likes of which we have simply never seen before.”
Chartbook 477 Against historic normalization: Why AI is not the Manhattan project and why we must challenge ourselves to think the radically new.

Well it’s technically Wednesday here but consider it published in Tuesday.
