Intro
Since Friday, Turkish bureaucracy is wasting my time, energy and mental capacity because I’m trying to convince them that my ADHD makes me not fit for mandatory military service (last year they wanted me to come back a year later to see if I show any signs of “recovery from ADHD”). I was hoping it to be done today but because it’s a government procedure there was a new surprise meaningless procedure, I need to go back tomorrow morning at around 7:30 for a process that’s not going to end at least until 15:00 — if I’m lucky.
So yeah, I’m trying real hard to keep things together and it’s generally going well — mostly thanks to the metal playlists I’ve been making over the years. And this is why I’m posting this one just hours before the day ends.

Hate Will Not Inspire You
Even though part of me wants to rant about the bureaucratic hell I’m in for the last couple days, I believe no one should be exposed to something like that — not even as a blog post. Also, I’m tired of people just talking about the stuff they hate on the internet and I do my best to not to add more into that.
I don’t have to tell you about how most of the internet’s social places has turned into pits of hate and sharing about something you enjoy is a dangerous act. These days even the subreddits for the enthusiasts are filled with people who hate that thing.
Since I’ve realized how this negatively affects me I’ve decided to do my best to never add into that pit and focus on sharing things I think important or inspiring instead. I want people to follow my posts or read me not because I give them an object to hate but instead I help them discover new things or see that someone else also enjoys the same things.
Because this is the main reason why I’m on the internet. I want to discover new things, find inspiration to create and find people who are also looking for the same. This is why I’m blogging, writing, creating and putting it here for everyone to see. (If I wanted to waste my time with people hating on things and screaming at each other, I’d watch late night news TV or post-game football commentary.)
I know people are primed to defend this by talking about enshittification, algorithms or politics but this is actually why we should be focusing on inspiring others and sharing good things we find or create. When your first reaction to most things is to hate or attack the people sharing it, you’ll only make sure that shitty world stays that way. You can’t expect to things get better when you’re not leaving a space for people to create new things.
Here’s an offer: on my blog, I usually leave comments open. If you have anything you discovered, found inspiring or something new you made, post it there to share with everyone else. I’ll make sure that any haters trying their luck will be banned swiftly.
